Filamon welcomes Adjunct Professor Hemal Mehta to its Ophthalmology Scientific Advisory Board.
Professor Mehta is an ophthalmologist specialising in the management of macular disease and cataract surgery, with extensive expertise in clinical trials and real-world treatment outcomes. He is Co-Director of Clinical Trials Research at Strathfield Retina Clinic and has served as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in more than 50 clinical trials.
Professor Mehta is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, serves on the Therapeutics Committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Fight Retinal Blindness project.
His appointment further strengthens Filamon’s position as an Australian drug development company focused on next-generation anti-inflammatory drugs for age-related chronic inflammatory diseases.
